Do you lead a busy life? Are you frustrated, trying to make appointments around your work schedule? Do you have an emergency and cannot wait another day to see your dentist? Do you need a dentist with evening hours? Do you need a dentist open on Saturday? Great news! Smilebar by the Matthews Dentist is here for you.

Extended Hours
We know that sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything you want done. We try to help by providing extended office hours.

  • Open Early
  • Evening Hours

We can schedule your appointment before or after work!

A Dentist Open On Saturday!
Yes, we open on Saturdays for those of you who cannot schedule your appointments during the week. Life does not always stick to a Monday through Friday schedule, so why should we?

A Walk-In Dentist You Can Rely On!
Emergencies happen and sometimes you need a walk-in dentist to treat you. We do our best to accommodate all walk-in patients.

What is a Dental Emergency and how Should You Handle One?

What Counts As An Emergency?

  • Knocked-out tooth
  • A deep cut to your cheek, gums or tongue
  • An abscessed tooth
  • A severe toothache
  • A cracked or broken tooth

Call Ahead!
Whenever possible, call ahead and let us know what your emergency is. We want to be prepared to assist you.

Follow First-Aid Steps!
Before you walk-in, follow first aid steps to ensure the best results.

  • For a knocked-out tooth, don’t hold it by the root, or you may damage it beyond repair. Rinse gently with water and attempt to place back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep the tooth moist in a cup of milk and bring it in with you.
  • For a deep cut, rinse the cut. Use gauze to apply pressure and stem the bleeding.
  • For an abscessed tooth, severe toothache, or a cracked or broken tooth, rinse with warm salt water. Feel free to take over-the-counter medication, such as ibuprofen, to bring down swelling and relieve discomfort.

We Are Here For You!
At Smilebar by the Matthews Dentist, we take every emergency seriously. We also consider your busy schedule. Our extended and Saturday hours, and our walk-in service are here for your convenience. Don’t wait any longer than necessary. Call for your appointment, or stop by our office today!
